'Pastor' Grabbed For Performing Rituals At Lorry Station

A Pastor with the Koforidua Branch of King Jesus Ministry, Pastor Benjamin Ofori has been grabbed by some drivers of the Koforidua trotro station for allegedly performing rituals at their premises.

Pastor Ofori was allegedly caught red handed at midnight performing rituals at the station. It was unclear the purpose of the rituals.

One of the drivers whose house is close to the lorry station spotted the pastor undertaking some ritual activities. He raised an alarm and the pastor attempted to abscond; however, he was arrested by the help of some residents who were not asleep.

The pastor was later hauled before the Akradwaafohene of New Juaben traditional area, Nana Owusu Acheaw I, who has forwarded the matter to the New Juaben Traditional Council due to the gravity of the case.

Some witnesses who spoke to the DAILY HERITAGE suggested that some of the people who perform the rituals there target the blood of innocent passengers for ritual purposes.

They said, they believe some of the accidents that happen are linked to such rituals by some unknown persons under the cover of darkness.

The chairman of the Trotro Drivers Union, Alhaji Sumaila Mahama, said drivers at the trotro station have been involved in surveillance for years due to the increasing rituals performed by unknown persons at the lorry station.

He said the arrest of the pastor, was therefore, not surprising to the union.

According to Alhaji Mahama, hardly does a month go by without seeing rituals performed at the lorry station by some unknown persons; hence, their decision to be vigilant to apprehend the perpetrators.
