Cement manufacturing giant, Diamond Cement Ghana limited (DCGL), last weekend fed over 3000 street children at a charity event dubbed �Diamond Cement�s Largest Buffet� at the Independence Square in Accra. Organized by BBnZ, children received food, drinks as part of the project�s tagline �Dare to Care: Feeding Accra�s Street Children.� Speaking at the event, Senior Marketing Manager of DCGL, Mr. Prakash Bhatt expressed Diamond Cement�s commitment to support Ghana�s largest buffet event to share in the children�s joy and have fun with them. �As a caring brand, we believe these children are the future of our country hence our willingness to support this initiative to reiterate our pledge.� Mr. Bhatt also mentioned Diamond Cement�s eagerness to feed and care for more kids in the coming years. Director of the project, Kwame Blay expressed appreciation to both the sponsors and volunteers for supporting them to bring smiles to these children�s faces. Apart from receiving free food and drinks on the day, the children were also given learning materials and treated to musical performances and bouncy castles where they played and enjoyed the special day. Diamond Cement�s Largest Buffet saw about 3.02 tons of fried rice prepared on a giant cooker by several chefs. It was arguably the largest quantity of rice to have ever been prepared at a go in Ghana.
