A man believed to be a Latvian in his fifties and only known as Tony was on Friday knocked down and killed by a Kia Reno vehicle with registration number UW 37-12 at Achimota new overhead.
The deceased was said to have crossed the path of the Kia Reno, which was coming from circle towards Ofankor.
An eyewitness, who gave his name as kwame, a taxi driver, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) said the white man appeared to be drunk.
Meanwhile the driver had been sent to the Tesano Police station while the deceased body had been deposited at the Achimota general hospital.
