Chiefs Pledging Support For Prez Mahama Are Happy For The Hardships In Brong Ahafo - NPP Reg. Youth Organizer

Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Bafo has pooh-poohed the Chiefs of Sunyani, Goaso and Dormaa all in the Brong Ahafo region for canvassing for votes for President Mahama in the next 2016 general elections.

The Paramount Chief of Sunyani, Nana Bosoma Asor Nkrawiri, has promised President Mahama and the National Democratic Congress that the Brong Ahafo Region will vote massively for the ruling party in next year's polls.

He added the President’s unprecedented achievement in Sunyani Township deserves 80 percent of vote in the 2016 elections as no government ever can match up with the performance of President Mahama.

Dormaa Omanhene in the same Brong Ahafo praising President Mahama for his tremendous developmental projects in his community assured massive vote for the ruling party in next year’s elections; saying the President deserves another opportunity to govern the country.

But the Chief of Goaso on Okay Fm’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show on Wednesday in his remarks for President Mahama’s performance said it is his wish the President wins 100 percent in the Brong Ahafo region.

He underscored that it will be a curse on him if he lies to the public that President Mahama is not constructing cocoa farming roads which have been neglected for a very time; stressing the curse will be enormous on him to say there is no improvement in his community.

However reacting on the same platform, the NPP Youth Organizer of Brong Ahafo grimaced that maybe the three Chiefs are happy that cocoa farmers are not getting fertilizers for their farms; asserting that these beleaguered farmers are calling for a change in government.

“Maybe the Chief who pledge 80% vote for Mahama is happy that the cocoa farmers are not getting fertilizer for their farms; those are the people calling for change. Those who cannot pay light bills and other utility bills are calling for a change because they don’t have lands to sell for money to buy fertilizers and pay bills”, he chided.

“People are calling for change because they don’t have money to send their children to school. The chiefs should rather speak for themselves and not for the entire Brong Ahafo region. The chiefs of Gawso, Dormaa and Techiman cannot say that the Teacher Trainees who have not been paid in the country, some cannot be found in Brong Ahafo and Nurses who have completed schools but unemployed cannot be found in Brong Ahafo”, he added.

He wondered why the chiefs are jumping for joy for mere fact that President Mahama cut sod to commence to construct roads as there are evidences of so many sod cutting projects by the late President Mills and President Mahama which have not been materialized in the region.

He dared the NDC to come out to tell Ghanaians which major road from 2009 to date in Brong Ahafo has been completed; accordingly the NPP did Wenchi-Nsawkaw road, the Techiman-Kintampo road, the Techiman-Kumasi road and the Drobo-Sampa road.

He enlightened that the only major Sekwa-Berekum road which the late President Mills cut sod to commence still remains untouched; reminding the Chief of Dormaa to acknowledge the Dormaa-Krankwanta road and the Presby Hospital which were done by the NPP as one of the unprecedented projects of President Kufuor’s administration.
