Nana Akufo-Addo Can Even Chair ECs Public Forum On Voters Register... - Koku Anyidoho

Even as the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) challenges the neutrality of Professor Justice Crabbe, elected as chairman by the EC for the public forum on the voters’ register, Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, Koku Anyidoho says his party is ready for any person to moderate the event.

According to him, even if the flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is selected to chair the forum; it will not change the EC's final decision to use the current register.

He was emphatic on Okay Fm’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show that the opposition is afraid of being exposed as liars as this will not be like the IEA debate to hide behind voting for or against the motion but will be a comprehensive presentation to convince the EC to decide on the current register.

He indicated that the NDC has no problem with the EC panel composition.

“…Nana Akufo-Addo can even chair the panel, we don’t care because it is not the panel members who are going to take the final decision on the matter…the panel is only moderating on the day. The thing is going to be live on TV and Radio so how bias can the panel be while everybody is watching it live?”, he quizzed.

He reminded the opposition NPP that its boycott threat if implemented will help Ghanaians to know the party has no case; asserting that this threat is not surprising as the NPP has kept shifting the post in order to escape embarrassment.

He advocated that Ghanaians should not take the NPP serious because even with their fake 10 percent report from Togo indicating over 700,000 Togolese nationals infiltrated in Ghana’s register, they have failed to produce the remaining 90 percent to complete their investigation.
