Is This The Battle The NPP Wants To Fight?..Suspending Paul Afoko? - Kabila Quizzes

James Kwabena Bomfeh of the Convention People's Party (CPP) has lambasted the minority New Patriotic Party (NPP) for suspending its National Chairman, Paul Afoko.

Speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, James Kwabena Bomfeh popularly called Kabila; believe the suspension of the party's Chair is a wrong approach.

According to him, the NPP is giving their competitors an upper hand with regard to the 2016 general elections.

To him, the way the NPP has approached the issue is unfair to the party's Chairman because in accordance with their constitution, the National Executive Council should have first petitioned the Disciplinary Committee before Mr. Afoko was indefinitely suspended.

If you were seeking to correct an error, why do you go about it the wrong way? If indeed, you’re genuine in your mind about it that you are seeking to right the wrong or a wrong which you believe has been committed; why the rush and haste to go about it the wrong way?"

He also described the First Vice National Chairman of the party, Freddie Blay as unfit to have called for an emergency meeting which saw Mr. Afoko being suspended afterwards.

He was also not fit to chair if they’re using the logic they used against Paul Afoko.

Kabila therefore advised the NPP to do a thorough introspection because they're fighting a battle which will have dire consequences on the party's fortunes.

There are some battles that, in a war, you avoid them. But there are some battles too; you fight them not because you want to win but to affect your opponent in a negative way. So, you just engage in them, not necessarily to win. You pick and choose your battles.

...is this the battle they want to engage in towards a long war?” he questioned.
