ECs Forum Exposed NPP's Intellectual Ineptness - Koku Anyidoho

The long-held claim by the opposition New Patriotic Party that it stands tall when it comes to intellectual prowess in electoral reforms in the country has been shredded into pieces by the Deputy General Secretary of the ruling NDC, Koku Anyidoho.

According to him, the presentation by Peter Mac Manu on behalf of the NPP calling for a new voters’ register before the 2016 elections is not water-tight to drive home their demand as they fumble to defend their claims which they have made so much noise about.

Commenting on the NPP’s presentation on Okay Fm’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, Koku Anyidoho described the presentation as an embarrassment.

He again mentioned that the NPP’s argument was “watery, pedestrian and may be to a point obviating” rendering them being so embarrassed at the forum when they could not account for how they came by the Togolese register and the reason for some voter population hike in certain electoral areas.

In view of the NPP’s presentation at the forum, Koku Anyidoho says the long acclaimed intellectual ability of NPP members is a sham and only exists in the media and not on the table of intellectual discourse.

…henceforth, we must put the NPP in an academic and an intellectual atmosphere; anytime they raise an issue, we will not be debating them on radio because somehow, they have a way of deceiving some of you guys and then when the media hear that the NPP has spoken, the media spreads it as if it is the gospel truth.

They (media) will make so much noise that whatever you say to counter it does not wash the NPP’s claim; from now, we will not engage NPP in intellectual discourse on radio but drag them to such fora to disgrace them. We shall intellectually dissect the issues henceforth; I think that is what we must begin to do to them because it is obvious that intellectually, they have no base but propaganda wise, that one, they can make noise,” he jabbed.
