Francis Sosu Lauds Prez MahamaThat Was A Bold Decision..."

Following the relieve of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice Lauretta Lamptey from her post, many have praised President Mahama - among them is a renowned Human Rights Lawyer, Francis-Xavier Sosu.

According to him – it was unfortunate Madam Lauretta Lamptey was accused of corruption but was quick to say her removal from office is a brilliant attempt by President John Dramani Mahama to fight the canker in his government.

“I am really happy the president has taken such bold decision to sack Madam Lauretta Lamptey. That institution [CHRAJ] must be respected,” he said.

Earlier this year, Madam Lamptey was asked to step aside as CHRAJ boss by President John Mahama following the establishment of a prima facie case against her.

A committee was subsequently set up to investigate complaints made against her by Richard Nyamah, and Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyir Anoh Dompreh.

She was accused to have spent about GHC182, 000 to renovate her official residence.

For now, her responsibilities have since been taken over by her deputy Richard Quayson following her dismissed.
