Okudzeto Accuses Gen Secretary's Aide Of Busing People To Picket At NPP Hdqtrs.

Perry Okudjeto, Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has implicitly accused the Spokesperson for the party's General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong, of busing people to protest at the party’s headquarters.

His premise? Images available to him (Perry), clearly shows an excessively busy Davis Opoku Ansah, popularly known as OPK, standing by one of the buses “but we do not know why they are being organized…we understand they are coming to the party’s headquarters to protest against the suspension of Paul Afoko”.

Speaking to Kwami Sefa Kayi, host of PeaceFM Morning Show, "Kokrokoo" Thursday, Perry Okudzeto indicated that they have informed the police and urged party members to use appropriate structures in the party to address their concerns instead of resulting to violence.

I have seen a picture of Mr Davis Opoku Ansah, popularly known as OPK, special Assistant to the General Secretary, standing beside the buses organizing the people to the party’s headquarters. We don’t know what they are going there to do. Members should work with the constitution….the things going on in the party will not bring unity moving forward toward the 2016 elections. We need to use the right procedure in our endeavours,” Perry indicated.

But in a quick rebuttal on the same platform, OPK debunked claims he was behind the busing of people to the party’s headquarters.

Even though he confirmed that there are about five buses at Achimota-Mile 7, Accra, full of NPP constituency officers, he denied being part of the organisers.

I passed by just to say hi to constituency officers who came from all over the country. Our party office is there for everyone and you don’t need to call before going there...they just called me to meet with them but I am not part of the organisers,” he stated.
