The NPP parliamentary candidate for Kariga constituency for the 2016 elections Shaharawi Bashiru escaped death narrowly when the V8 vehicle he and other two persons were travelling in, spurt a front tyre and crush a tree killing the two individuals instantly on the Kumasi-Kintampo highway, Saturday.
Reports indicated that Mr. Shaharawi was also pronounced dead until they reached the Tamale Teaching Hospital morgue.
It was said that the parliamentary candidate shook his body when they were about to put him in the hospital morgue.
He was quickly rushed to the emergency ward of the facility where he is said to be in a life threatening condition.
Doctors at the Hospital assured leadership and supporters of the party Mr. Bashiru was responding to treatment when they insisted he should be airlifted to Accra.
The NPP candidate was travelling from Accra to Tamale in his newly purchased V8 vehicle when the sad incident happened.
