National Sanitation Day Gets Support From Mybet.com

As part of activities marking this month’s National Sanitation Day celebration, staff of Ghana’s leading sports betting company, Mybet.com, have de-silted gutters and swept some major streets in Accra.

The staff, in collaboration with the Ayawaso Sub-metro office of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, began their activities at the Sadisco traffic light and continued through Tiptoe Lane and ended at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle.

They were accompanied by dump trucks, which carted the piles of rubbish and de-silted material away.

Addressing the media after the exercise General Manager of Mybet.com, Ernest Seward, assured that staff of his company would continue taking part in all National Sanitation Day activities “because a clean environment would guarantee a pleasant experience for our staff and patrons.”

He called on other corporate organizations, especially those in the Ayawaso Sub-metro, to support government efforts to have a clean Ghana devoid of avoidable diseases arising from a dirty environment.

Operations Manager, Simon Gurah, explained that sports betting is growing internationally and Ghana stands to benefit if more of the citizens patronize such products, pointing out that government revenue also increases as such companies pay more tax to the treasury.

Apart from breakfast, patrons can be rewarded for a losing draw from the various games such as football, athletics, golf, hockey, tennis, and a host of virtual games, Anita Pappoe, Marketing Manager added, and urged the public to disabuse their minds of the notion that sports betting is evil.

“Everyone wins with sports betting. We urge all Ghanaians to enjoy the various games on offer while helping to develop our nation,” she concluded.
