In the run up to the New Patriotic Party’s National Executives Conference which was held at Tamale in 2014, plots to destruct the presidential ambitions of Nana Akufo Addo in 2016 were set to motion.

A renowned serial caller in the NPP by name Adiza Isaaku alias ‘Adiza Zongo Pioneer’ has alleged that Mr. Paul Afoko boldly informed a group of serial callers he had hired to do his praise singing that the NPP would lose a hundred times in any election if the party presented Nana Akufo Addo as flagbearer.   

She told Peacefmonline.com in an interview that she was present when they met their beleaguered National Chairman at a hotel in Kumasi to strategize on building an effective campaign that would translate into votes for him.

During the said meeting, ‘Adiza Zongo Pioneer’ claims they were made to understand that their mission was to campaign on behalf of Mr. Paul Afoko to ensure he gets the necessary clout within the party to change certain leaders who were wrecking the NPP’s chance of winning an election.  

“The plan got me confused and I asked the people around whether the move to oust Nana Addo was to pave way for Dr. Bawumia to take over. But they told me neither Bawumia nor his boss merited the flagbearer post.

Most of us gathered there were serial callers  and we were made to understand by Mr. Afoko that even if the NPP should decide to present Nana Addo as flagbearer a hundred times, he would lose by that same number”, she said.
