Mr. Kissi Agyabeng, lawyer for investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, has expressed disappointment in former Attorney General Martin Amidu after insisting that he “envy” the legendary journalist for his fight against corruption.

According to him – Amidu’s claims that the journalist is operating a fraudulent company is just “Senseless” and “Unfortunate”.

He alleged on NEAT FM’s morning show 'Ghana Montie' that Martin Amidu has been contracted to “attack” the journalist in public with his “baseless” accusations.

“There is no sense in what Amidu is doing. He has an agenda or someone might have contracted him to misbehave,” he told host Kwasi Aboagye.
 
The ‘Citizen vigilante’ Amidu in his recent missives chided Anas and described his team [Tiger Eye PI] as “fraudulent” and “dummy.”

He alleged that Anas had edited and sheltered an exposé on some of Ghana’s Parliamentarians - In his latest epistle, he supported his claims that Anas conspired with government to cover up the piece.

Reacting to Amidu’s series on his client, Kissi Agyabeng in a sharp rebuttal said Amidu has failed to provide any evidence to substantiate his allegations.

He noted that – Amidu known for his anticorruption campaign must rather praise Anas for his fight against the canker – “He should rather be happy for Anas not what he is doing now. Shameless.”
