Traditionalist calls on religious faithful not to judge others

A traditionalist, Adurowura Osafo, has called for religious tolerance among believers of different religious faiths and urged them to desist from judging others. He said God, the Supreme Being, was the best judge to determine who was right or wrong. Adurowura Osafo was speaking to media personnel on Friday during the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Afua Tabiri, head of the Obuotabiri shrine, for whom he is the spokesperson. He called on all Ghanaians to lead honest lives and desist from deceit, cheating, hatred for one another and things that did not lead to progress and development of society. Adurowura Osafo said the 25th anniversary celebration of Afua Tabiri, popularly known as Motia Komfo of Koforidua, which was launched on Thursday, would last till Sunday, September 6. He said each day Afua Tabiri would sit in state and receive visitors who had benefited from the good works of the shrine and other traditional priests from all over the country amidst drumming and dancing. On Friday, among the traditional priests who came to pay homage to Afua Tabiri was Nana Kweku Bomsam with a large entourage. Afua Tabiri, who was then a pupil of Koforidua SDA Basic School, was said to have been picked by dwarfs who took her away and trained her to become a traditional priest 25 years ago at age 17.
