Obiri Boahen Punches Sammy Crabbe: You Can Leave NPP If You Feel Uncomfortable

Deputy General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen has asked the Second Vice Chairman of the party, Mr. Sammy Crabbe to leave the party if he feels uncomfortable.

Sammy Crabbe had earlier stated on Okay Fm’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show that, to him, the suspended Chairman Paul Afoko, remains the party's National Chair.

According to him, he does not recognize the first vice chairman, Freddie Blay who is acting in his capacity as National Chairman of the party following the suspension of Mr Afoko.

No, no, no I don’t see him (Blay) as chairman and if he convenes a meeting I’m not going. If I do next time you’ll be asking me to recognize a coup d’état. I can’t just accept that. I don’t fear. I’m courageous,” Crabbe said.

But in sharp riposte, Nana Obiri Boahen accused Mr Crabbe of being part of the group of people who are only taking advantage of the party to enrich themselves and subsequently make it unpopular.

Sammy Crabbe’s absence or presence will not affect the fortunes of the party and so if he is not comfortable in it, he should leave the party because we have had enough of him and his tutorials,” he said.
