Blame The Happenings In NPP On Those With Coup Mentality To Remove Afoko - Sammy Crabbe

The second Vice National Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Sammy Crabbe says there are people within the party with coup mentality using the first Vice National Chairman, Freddie Blay as a conduit to usurp the mandate of Chairman Paul Afoko.

He professed that this great and unnecessary diversion going on in the NPP will never go away so long as the party continues to harbor certain leaders who are poised to use any illegal means to remove some executives they don’t like in certain positions.

Speaking on Okay Fm’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, Sammy Crabbe wondered why instead of focusing on how to remove the NDC government from power, the party’s resources are used to remove certain people from their positions.

“Instead of our focus should be on removing the NDC government, our resources are used to remove certain people from their positions in the party; these are the people we should blame for the happenings in the party,” he chided.

He averred the intimation meted out to some NPP members who are against the suspension of Paul Afoko is putting the party on a dangerous path because the quietness of those who voted in Tamale to choose Afoko should be taken for granted as their reaction in 2016 can spell doom for the party in next year election.

Insofar as policing of the polling stations are paramount and determinant of final election results, Mr. Sammy Crabbe told those NPP executives against Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong that it is the same delegates who voted for embattled chairman; reminding that the delegates can punish the party at the polling stations since none of those executives go there to supervise elections.

“You are in Accra and you don’t know what goes on at the polling stations during elections and so those delegates who are not happy with the way Afoko is treated can allow our political opponents to rig the election to protest a decision we took against certain people they voted for,” he pontificated.

He urged the NPP fraternity to come out with a decision which will motivate the people to rally behind the party to win the 2016 elections; describing the happenings in NPP as unnecessary which must stop immediately.
