I Wont Be Surprised If Im Suspended Sammy Crabbe

Second Vice Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) is hinting he might be suspended for supporting embattled chairman, Paul Afoko.

According to Sammy Crabbe, the party will incite some tribesmen in his constituency to petition for his suspension just like they did to Mr. Afoko.

His comment comes after the NPP Communications Director, Nana Akomea said he will not be surprised if some party members petition for his suspension. He said that Sammy Crabbe has shown “gross disrespect” to the National Executive Committee (NEC) for the public rebellion against the decision taken.

Deputy General Secretary of the party, Nana Obiri Boahen has also asked him to leave the party if he feels uncomfortable.

But speaking on Asempa FM Thursday, Sammy Crabbe opined that he is not moved by the “veiled threats and be cowed into submission”. He said he will not sit and watch some few people in the party to engage in illegality just for their selfish gains.

The second Vice Chairman who is an ardent supporter of the suspended National Chairman said posterity will not forgive him if he does not ensure the right thing is done. “The party is engaging in an illegality; if I don’t speak up, I can't be free on my conscience,” he stressed.

Sammy Crabbe is warning for dire consequence if NEC uphold the suspension of Paul Afoko just 12 months to a crucial elections.
