Appiah Warns Stars

Ghana's in-form captain Stephen Appiah has warned against complacency in Sudans World Cup qualifier against Sudan on Sunday. The Black Stars will qualify for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa if they beat the Nile Crocodiles and Mali hold Benin. Ghana have been tipped to win the game as they beat Sudan 2-0 in their previous Group Four game in June. But the captain, who was at his best during Thursday's training, insists they are focusing very hard to avoid any surprises in the game in Accra. "It's not a done deal," Appiah said, who is still without a club after falling out with turkish side Fenerbahce. "There are a lot of surprises in football and we have to prevent that on Sunday." Ghana top Group Four with maximum nine points from three matches.
