Kpanlogo Group Chase Sports Minister...

Members and crew of a cultural troop based in Accra are up in arms with the Minister of Sports, Dr. Mustapha Ahmed for failing to honour a contractual payment arrangement he had with the band.

The situation has gotten out of hand with the band members now accusing him of sheer exploitation, betrayal of trust and a deliberately refusing to pay them.

Leader of the group calling itself, Ekomey Feemoh Kpalogo group said an aid to the Sports Minister invited them to help in his campaign in his constituency at Nima ahead of the parliamentary primaries of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).

After going on a float through Nima, Maamobi with drumming and dancing, they were told to convey at the Kawukudi Park near Nima in Accra for the final rally.

But he said Dr. Ahmed who is also the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East who had promised to pay them after the event disappeared after the rally leaving them stranded.

The leader said the group members most of whom came from Accra suburbs like Abossey Okai and Achimota used their own monies as transportation to Nima thus must be reimbursed.

They are therefore calling on Dr. Mustapha Ahmed to pay them for the service rendered or face their wrath.
