National Youth Coordinator of the Progressive People's Party, Divine Nkrumah, has described the current administration as the most "useless" government in the annals of the country's political history.

According to him, the Mahama government has failed to salvage the economy and provide relief to Ghanaians.

He told host Kwami Sefa Kayi that President John Dramani Mahama and his government is the luckiest regime ever in the history of the country but one that has not been useful at all to the nation.

He raised eyebrows over the borrowing and spending culture of the Mahama administration.

Making his submissions on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, the PPP's National Youth Leader said the government has since its inception sought loans and charged levies which are supposed to develop the country, but Ghanaians have not felt the impact.

To him, the sums of money that the government has benefited from should have resulted in Ghanaians experiencing 'heaven' on earth.

“If you take a critical look at the budget we’ve presented and government’s expenditure since 1957 till date, I will say without fear or any favour that one of the useless governments that we have encountered in our time or this short time of democracy from 1992 is the current NDC government…They’ve not been useful.”

He further criticized the 2016 financial statement and Economic Planning delivered by Finance Minister Seth Tekper at Parliament, stating the budget is bereft of hope.
