The parliamentary candidate for Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai was subjected to public ridicule after the public identified fault with a campaign poster of his.

Although the image was neatly cropped, it turned out to be a superimposed image of Mr. Moses Kofi Armah designed to fit into an old campaign poster of Mr. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah.

Few hours after the news went viral that the aspiring MP had stolen a picture of his political rival, he took pragmatic steps to address the unfortunate issue which he believes was cooked by his detractors.

In a statement copied to Peacefmonline.com by Mr. Moses Kofi Armah, he categorically denied the alleged brand copy on his part. He also fumed at the at camp of Mr. Oppong Nkrumah for not contacting him before issuing a statement to paint him black over something he knew nothing about.

Below is a copy of his statement.

My attention has been drawn to pictures circulating on social media and hosted on other new portals in Ghana; some of the pictures have the caption, who stole whose images. In these pictures, purportedly put by my supporters, attempt is made to show brand copy on my part. 

First, I deny categorically the alleged brand copy on my part and use the opportunity to state that my true campaign brands are in wide circulation for verification.

I must state emphatically that I believe in my own unique identity.

It is this unique identity that gave me the urge to go uncontested in a much resourced district and the same identity which will make me win the seat and restore hope to the people of Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai District.

Secondly, it is extremely disappointing and unbecoming of Mr Kojo Oppong a fellow aspirant not to have taken the pain to verify the authenticity or otherwise of the alleged poster but quickly jumped unto the bandwagon to criticize without circumspection.

I therefore urge the general public to disregard the deceit of my detractors.
