Treat Sam Georges Claims With Contempt Ade Coker

Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kobina Ade Coker, is urging the public to treat with contempt the allegation leveled against him by Sam George, who has suggested he’s manipulating the party’s primaries to favour his contender, Enoch Teye Mensah.

George is accusing Coker of overseeing a fraudulent election.

“Ade Coker has finally succeeded in ensuring a lot of the people who would vote for me are left out. My name has even been taken off the register,” he alleged.

But Mr. Coker responding to the claim on Kasapa FM said the accusation by Sam George lacked merit.

“On Friday, we met all the aspirants and made known to them the data that we’ve got from their constituency. We have gone through it and everything is intact. There is nothing untoward. The data is absolutely correct.

“I did not work on the document and so I will entreat all to treat Sam George’s claims with contempt. There is a committee headed by the deputy Regional Minister plus our Youth Organiser, Mr. Ashong, our Secretary and a gentleman called Gadel. These are the people who worked on the document. They worked on 34 constituencies. It is an independent body and my job as a chairman is for them to brief me. I did not sit in any of their sittings, never,” he noted.

He added: “If Sam George is not happy about what is going on in the constituency; he has every opportunity to use the party’s structures to lodge a complaint.”
