The President of UT holdings has revealed he has only one pair of shoes that he wears everywhere.
The Johnnie Walker ambassador who has been ranked among 14 of Ghana’s richest on Morning Starr said he doesn’t make time to patronize material or fashionable things.
“Everybody knows I still have only one watch, I have one shoe, I don’t care about all the others...wait, I have two but I wear only one. I don’t know the state of the other one,” he said.
“To me those things don’t matter, the same shoe, very comfortable. When I think it’s getting a bit too old I enter a shop, I pick a new one and leave the old one. You would want your feet to be comfortable.”
Amoabeng said he takes more pride in using his wealth to impact the lives of people.
“I work to build institutions and establishments that help others and if money comes as a result, fine. And it’s not even a big deal for me.
“I have only one wrist watch too, a gift from my partner, so the Rolex’s and all those things don’t mean anything to me”.
