I Will Never Contest The Ningo-Prampram Seat As An Independent Candidate E.T Mensah Vows

“I can never leave my father’s house and rent a new house. NDC is my father’s house,” – NDC’s Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, E.T. Mensah said after it was alleged that he will contest the Ningo-Prampram seat as an independent candidate in the 2016 election.

The long-serving NDC MP nicknamed “Mugabe” was beaten in an NDC parliamentary primaries by a Presidential Staffer, Sam George.

Sam George pulled an impressive 4,910 votes representing 63.5 percent of votes cast as against Mensah’s 2,831 36.5 percent.

E.T. Mensah after the election has expressed grievances – according to him, the elections was not “Free and fair” in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show Ghana Montie.

He has been tipped to still run for the Ningo-Prampram seat as an independent candidate – but E.T Mensah has strongly refuted that.

Speaking on NEAT FM, the NDC MP stated that, although he has issues with the outcome of the election - he will still be a member of the NDC.

“I am going nowhere and there is no truth in the allegation circulating that I will run for the seat as an independent candidate. I still belong to the NDC. I was born into it,” he emphatically told host Kwasi Aboagye.
