Fire has gutted the six-bedroom mission house of the Christ Apostolic Church International at Beposo in the Sekyere Central District and destroyed items and cash.
The blaze, which started at about 0200 hours, burnt musical instruments and 600 Ghana cedis cash.
The Rev Samuel Osei, Resident Pastor who sustained minor injuries, told the Ghana News Agency that he was asleep with his family in the house when an unusual noise in his bedroom woke him up.
He said he saw thick smoke had engulfed the room and �instinctively, I broke one of the louver blades and let out my two little children whiles my wife, two other children and I escaped through the main door�.
Rev Osei, who was due to attend a send-off thanksgiving service organized in his honour by the church that Sunday following his transfer to Suhum in the Eastern Region, is now putting up with a church member.
