Dr Percy Predicts Where Raid On NPP Headquarters Is Headed

A leader of the National Reform Party, Dr. David Percy has suggested the raid on the head office of the New Patriotic Party last Monday was staged to cast the nation in bad light and to further the political desires of the NPP.

He claims the alleged raid was to further the party’s calls for a new voters’ register, and the plan was to portray to the international community and in particular Ghana’s donor partners, that the government was doing all this in order to steal the 2016 elections, which story then leads the funding partners to impress on the government to accede to their demands for a new register.

He explained that “The purpose is to scare the ‘international community’, donors and investors that hey! your investments, your so-called peace and stability of your darling people is about to be disturbed. You better sit up.

Ultimately, Dr Percy who is also described as a student of Political Science and History said the NPP stands to benefit from a tidy commission on the about $300 million a new voters registration exercise may cost if it comes on, plus they intend to aggressively pack minors on the electoral roll in their strongholds and at the same time dissuade persons they suspect of foreign origins from registering.

I tell you that this is where this particular piece of folly is headed. And it is not for the Ghanaian public who knows that what is being said is nonsense”, he said.
