Youre Still My Boss And Father - Sam George Tells E.T. Mensah

Presidential Staffer and Parliamentary Aspirant for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Ningo-Prampram in the Greater Accra Region, Samuel George says efforts are being made to reunite with the man he describes as “boss and father”, Hon. Enoch Teye Mensah.

In a fiercely NDC Parliamentary contest at Ningo-Prampram, the long serving Member of Parliament, Mr. Enoch Teye Mensah became a casualty in the race to his protégé, Samuel Nartey George on Sunday night.

Certified results by the Electoral Commission showed George polled 4,910 votes representing 63.4 per cent of valid votes cast to end the Parliamentary career of Mr Mensah who has been in Parliament since 1997. E.T. Mensah polled 2,831 votes representing 36.5 per cent of valid votes cast.

Mr E.T. Mensah and Sam George locked horns in what was popularly referred to as “David and Goliath” fight in their determination to thump each other to lead the NDC in Ningo Prampram.

Prior to the primaries, Mr. E.T. Mensah accused Sam George of campaigning on lies against him and during the election both pointed accusing fingers to each other of scheming to rig the election.

E.T. Mensah on Okay Fm’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show poured out his frustration; stating he will not forgive Samuel Nartey George for lying to the people of Ningo-Prampram except that he (Sam George) goes back to the same media he used to malign him (E.T Mensah) before he can forgive.

Reacting to the demand of E.T. Mensah on the same platform, Samuel George used the opportunity to render unqualified apology to the man he describes as his “boss and father” for anything which might have gone wrong during the campaign era.

He however pleaded for unity and oneness ahead of the 2016 elections, stressing that nothing will erase the fact that E.T. Mensah is still his boss and considers him as a father.

Though he does not recall insulting E.T. Mensah in the media, Sam George pleaded guilty if this will bring peace between them and form a formidable team to give a resounding victory to President Mahama and secure the Ningo-Prampram seat for the NDC with massive vote.

“…If my father says I have insulted and maligned him and he is hurt to the point of anger, I will take this opportunity to apologize to him and tell him that I am his son; he should forgive me. I am a human being and I’m gullible. Let’s put the past behind us and forge ahead; if my father feels pain on any platform about me, he should let it go and forgive me…the NDC is bigger than both of us and if this is what will bring confusion and misunderstanding between us and in the end affect the party then I’m pleading with my father to forgive me," he pleaded.
