I Wonder If Mahama Reflects On Our Hardship When He Sleeps! - Kwamena Duncan

Central Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Kwamena Duncan says President John Dramani Mahama must sit up and resolve the energy crises confronting the country.

Speaking to host Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Kwamena Duncan wondered whether President John Mahama cares about the Ghanaian citizenry.

To him, the energy problems keep worsening and questioned the efforts by the President and his government to remedy the situation.

Despite the introduction of emergency power barges to supplement electricity supply, the NPP Regional Secretary believes the government only glorifies itself in glossy displays at the expense of the electorates who voted them into power.

Commenting further on the power barges that arrived on the shores of Ghana last Saturday, Kwamena condemned the welcome ceremony that was conducted by the government to usher in the Turkish power ship.

According to him, the 'jamboree' is not necessary because the energy situation remains unresolved.

“It is fanfare, fanfare, fanfare, fanfare; no substance and people are suffering. People still continue to suffer. President Mahama, when you sit (when you sleep); do you reflect on the hardship that you’ve imposed on the good people of this country? Do you do that?”

He further lambasted President Mahama for failing to honour his promises to Ghanaians by fixing the energy issues.
