PNC member Atik Mohammed has touted President John Dramani Mahama's achievements, debunking claims albeit cynically that the President is incompetent.

Contrary to remarks made by some of his political opponents about the character of the President, Atik Mohammed stressed rather cheekily that President John Mahama is "very competent".

He expounded that the President has serious allergies towards being incompetent; claiming the state of Ghana is a true reflection of President Mahama's competence.

“I’ve realized that our President His Excellency John Dramani Mahama has serious allergies towards the word ‘incompetence’. He has shown (he has demonstrated) that I’m allergic to the word incompetent but likes competence. From hence, I will not use the word incompetent on our President," he derisively said.

In expressing confidence in President Mahama's administration, Atik Mohammed sought to diagnose the allergies of the President for Ghanaians to mark them as they gear up for Election 2016.

According to him, the President is competent in different ways; among them are his failures to resolve the energy crises and improve the economy.

“He’s competent in superintending over dum sor. He’s competent in superintending over corruption. He’s competent in superintending over collapsed economy. He’s so competent in so many things.”
