Dr Lawrence Tetteh, International Evangelist, has appealed to the leaders of the country to be tolerant to criticisms, especially when they are constructive.

“Our leaders should not make statements based on emotions, since emotions have no intellect,”, he said in an interview with Ghana News Agency during a three-day crusade by the Osu Ebenezer Congregation, in Accra on the theme: “ Sounds of Abundance Rain (1 Kings 18: 41).”

Dr Tetteh, also an Economist and Founder and Leader of the UK-based World Miracle Outreach, said people should not also hide behind politics to undermine the credibility of the nation.

He said the major political parties should seek first the interest of Ghana in all their undertakings.

“All is not lost! God would still bless the country, irrespective of the political colouration of the problems the country is going on,” he said.

Touching on the theme, he said Ghana went through famine and other challenges in the 1980’s, but God brought the country out of the crises.

Bishop Andy Odonkor, District Minister of Osu Ebenezer Congregation said Ghanaians should not lose faith in God in view of the problems facing the country, but should emulate the faith of Israel when they were saddled by drought.

He said there was no rain and so much dryness was going on in the lives of the people, but Prophet Elijah told them that the “ The Lord is still on the throne and there is hope”.

Bishop Odonkor said: “Despite dumsor (the power crises), which has affected a number of businesses, there is still hope.”
