Prez. Mahama Settles On Amissah-Arthur As Running Mate For 2016

President John Dramani Mahama has decided to retain Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur as his running mate for the 2016 elections.

According to information gathered by PEACE FM's, Obeng Manu, President Mahama informed the National Executive Committee (NEC) and the National Council (NC) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of his decision during a meeting on Monday.

This reporter added that even though the message has already been delivered to the executives, President Mahama will join them later to explain why he decided to retain Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur.

The President's choice will bring to an end calls and press statements demanding that Vice President Amissah Arthur be changed. 

Meanwhile, NEC and NC are still in the meeting deliberating on nominations.
