NPP Will Lose 2016 Elections With Nana Addo

A staunch member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Joshua Attoh Quarshie says unless the flagbearer of the party steps down, the NPP will lose the 2016 elections.

According to Mr. Quarshie, “If Nana Addo cannot stand and fight Mahama, he should step down and allow another one. We have got a lot of leaders in the party to take up the mantle”.

He further opined that, “…with Nana Addo we [NPP] have lost the battle already”.

Mr Quarshie who is a known supporter of suspended chairman Paul Afoko said this in an interview with the media after a failed anti-Akufo-Addo press conference on Tuesday December 8, 2015 in Chorkor within the Ablekuma South constituency.

The disgruntled NPP member condemned the disunity that has engulfed the party and wondered why some key leaders of the NPP have mounted a strong opposition against Mr Afoko’s tenure as national chairperson.

“Did they allow Afoko to be in office? They vandalised the place and fought the people there. What are they doing? Did they do the same thing to Peter Ala Adjetey and others, why Afoko?” he questioned.

“I cannot hold my mouth,” he said, insisting that Mr Akufo-Addo is the brain behind the recent chaos in the party.
