'I Know Nothing About Alhaji Seidus Alleged Removal' From Feeder Roads - Inusah Fuseini

Hon. Inusah Abdulai B. Fuseini (Alhaji) , Minister of Roads and Highways has distanced himself from reports linking him to the purported dismissal of Alhaji Ibrahim Seidu from office as the Deputy Director of Feeder Roads Department.

Hon Fuseini, who is also the MP for Tamale Central Constituency, says he is unaware of the orchestrated dismissal of his main challenger in the recently held NDC primaries elections from the Feeder Roads.

"I know nothing about Alhaji Ibrahim Seidu’s removal from the Ministry of Roads and Highways," he said.

He refutted a report from one of Alhaji Ibrahim's aide saying there was a letter written to him by the Public Services Commission terminating his appointment with the public service, but was later withdrwan because of the troubles in the constituency.

"This is not true, I am not aware of any letter written to the Department of Feeder Roads and particularly to Alhaji Seidu purporting to dismiss him from Feeder Roads," he said in an interview with CITI FM Eye Witness News Wednesday with Richard Dela Sky.

According to him, he believes that if the Public Services Commission or the head of Civil Service had wanted to take such a decision they would have routed the letter through the dignitaries at the Roads and Highways and particularly through the Minister of which he has not seen any letter to that effect.

He indicated that there have not been any discussions at the Ministry in connection with the removal of Alhaji Seidu, but what he is aware of is that he still comes to work and is still a staff of the department of Feeder Roads.

The purported dismissal of Alhaji Ibrahim Seidu from office as the Deputy Director of Feeder Roads Department sent some youth of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Tamale Central Constituency on rampage on Wednesday.

The youth who were protesting after hearing that the Civil Service had written a letter dismissing Alhaji Seidu popularly known as Engineer, took to the streets and destroyed posters and billboards of their MP and Minister of Roads and Highways, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini.

Alhaji Ibrahim Seidu was a key challenger to incumbent Alhaji Fuseini in the November 21 NDC parliamentary primaries in the Tamale Central Constituency.

He however lost the elections to Alhaji Fuseini.
