President Mahama Commissions Three New Ambassadors

President John Dramani Mahama on Wednesday commissioned three new Ambassadors who would be embarking on their duty tour in the coming days.

The Ambassadors are: Mr Edzi Kosivi Debgor, Ghana's Ambassador to the Republic of Benin, Mr Akwasi Agyeman Agyare, Ghana's Ambassador to Guinea; and Madam Elizabeth Adjei, Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain.

Addressing them, President Mahama urged them to use their vast experiences garnered over the years to strengthen relations between Ghana and the destination countries.

He said Benin and Guinea were both members of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS )and advised the Ambassadors to use their positions to promote the use of Made-in Ghana goods and services in those countries.

President Mahama also urged them to forge ahead for the integration of ECOWAS to promote free trade and commerce in the coming years.

On Spain, he said, it is an European country that had battled migration issues over the years, and Ghanaians could tap their expertise to be replicated here in future.

Mr Kosivi-Debgor, on behalf of his colleagues, commended President Mahama for giving them the opportunity to serve Ghana.

He gave the assurance that they would raise the image of Ghana in their various countries by strengthening trade and diplomatic ties.
