Counsel For Sarah Kwabla Gives Asamoah Gyan One Week Ultimatum To Apologise

Counsel for Sarah Kwabla, the lady involved in Black Stars Captain Asamoah Gyan’s rape scandal, Lawyer Maurice Apaw has given one week ultimatum to the China based striker and captain for the Black Stars to openly apologise to the lady or face the shock of his life.

Lawyer Ampaw gave the warning at a press conference in Accra after the Attorney-General indicated her interest in discontinuing the case.

According to him, damages caused to the girl and family's name is something that needs to be addressed fairly.

He said this is a criminal case, equal to that of a robbery or drug case, where suspects cannot be bailed.

But in her clients case, the suspect (Asamoah Gyan) has not even been invited to write a statement let alone prosecute him for his crime.

"Let no Ghanaian blame me or my client if we petition FIFA or any international human rights body for justice. We are still holding on to our evidence for now but if we don't hear from the Black Stars captain and his counsel in one week, we will take proper action to seek for justice.

If the Attorney General in not interested in the case, an international human rights body might be interested. We will come out with our evidence to prove Asamoah Gyan indeed raped and sodomized my client and let no one blame us if we do so," he warned.

He also noted they are not going to let the case sleep today or tomorrow.

"The Attorney General will not be in office forever. Next year is election year and she might not be there after 2016. We can always take this case on even after 100 years so throwing it out today doesn't mean it has come to an end," he added.
