NADMO Official Arrested In Tamale Rioting

Sulemana Kingdia 45, a worker with NADMO has been arrested by the police in Tamale for masterminding yesterday's disturbances, the police has said.

Sulemana a well known supporter of Alhaji Ibrahim Seidu, popularly known as 'Engineer', a staff of the Feeder Roads, was arrested at about 12am Thursday Morning and charged with causing unlawful riot and damage.

Alhaji Seidu contested and lost in the just ended National Democratic Congress primary in the Tamale Central Constituency.

Sulemana appeared in the Tamale district court presided over by Justice Augestine Essah.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges but the judge ruled that he should be remanded to reappear on Monday 14 December 2015.

According to the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ebenezer Tetteh, Public Relations Officer of the Regional Police Command, an arrest warrant has been issued for the arrest of three persons currently at large.

Bashiru, Hakeem and Mohammed Alhassan are the three individuals sought after by the police in the region.

Yesterday, violence erupted in Sakasaka and Tishegu when supporters of Alhaji Ibrahim Seidu went on rampage destroying political properties of Tamale Central Member of Parliament and Ghana's Road Minister, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini who they accused of masterminding the dismissal of Ibrahim Seidu.
