The Ghana international is in line to be adjudged African Best Player in the English topflight for November.

Swansea winger Andre Ayew is in competition for yet another award, having been shortlisted for the Best African Player in the English Premier League for November.

Ayew, who joined Swansea in the summer from Marseille, vies for the award alongside Crystal Palace and DR Congo winger Yannick Bolasie, Nigeria and Watford attacker Odion Ighalo and Everton’s Ivorian forward Arouna Kone.

With appearances in all 15 Premier League games of the Jacks this season, the 25-year-old forward played full throttle in all three matches in the month under review.

Ayew, with six Premier League strikes in total, accounts for one of two goals scored over the period, while his foul suffered at the hands of Simon Francis led to a penalty for the other strike.

Winger Bolasie lasted full duration in all three of Palace’s league matches in November, scoring three goals including a double in a 5-1 thumping of Newcastle United at Selhurst Park.

Everton’s Kone has three goals to his name in four matches, including a hat-trick in a 6-2 win over Sunderland.

Last but not least, 26-year-old Watford frontman Ighalo played every minute in games against Aston Villa, Manchester United and Leicester City and scored once over the period.

Currently vying for Swansea Best Player for November after winning the award in August and October, Ayew was named Premier League Player for August as well as Best African Player in the Premier League same month.

He’s also in contention for the 2015 Caf African Player of the Year as well as the BBC African Player of the Year award which is set to be announced on Friday.
