Unpatriotic Bempah Should Be Called To Order

In regards to a statement made by Owusu Bempah, Director of Operations for Coalition for Justice on Peace FM’s  news hour program that the  good people of Ghanaian should not make payment of utility tariffs following the recent announcement by authorities of Public Utility Regulatory Commission (PURC) on the new tariff increment, Amass Ghana, a group advocating for Peace thinks Owusu Bempah and his cohorts are beating war drums because their call is unpatriotic  and suicidal to the democracy of this country and should therefore make an urgent retraction of his statement.

Coalition for Justice should note that they can’t take the people’s right for granted and that every single citizen and resident of Ghana is mandated by law to pay utility bills. AMASS GH would want to put it to Owusu Bempah and his allies that if they think that Ghanaians are bereft of the ability to make decisions for themselves, then his ship wrecking attitude plus his group can’t decide for the residents of Ghana either.

How can a citizen who believe he loves this country make such unguarded statement which seeks to incite the public not to pay utility bills all rooted in the fact that his political party is in opposition and wants power. AMASS GHANA believe that the characters in question are enemies to the progress of the nation and therefore don’t deserve to be tolerated.

Owusu Bempah and all his group should not be fooled by the fact that a nation can still do well even without the payment of utility tariffs by residents.  He can’t influence the public not to pay or accept the utility tariffs increment because it’s a big blow to the nation’s development.

Amass Ghana thinks that it will be more expedient for  Coalition for Justice to make a call for a reduction in the tariffs than to opt for unwarranted series of  demonstration as an alternative means to counter the new tariff adjustment by authorities of PURC and  government as a whole should PURC  fail to heed their demands.

We want to state with authority that, the media should do well not to give their platforms to people like Owusu Bempah to be passing such violent comments. Ghana can never die because of somebody’s political interest and he should realize that Ghanaians are discerning and can’t afford to fall into his ill-motives.

Long Live Ghana, Long Live Amass Ghana
