It is very unfortunate that after 50 years of Independence, education which is supposed to be easily and cheaply accessible (in terms of cost) to all Ghanaians, irrespective of one’s financial background, has rather become the preserve of the rich with little or no governmental direction.
The result is that instead of producing graduates who can establish firms to create employment for others, our tertiary institutions are rather producing graduates who are to be employed by non-existing industries.
In spite of the gloomy picture that hangs in the air, Ghanaians are still doing what has retarded the country’s growth. Thus politicising everything and limiting everything to NDC and NPP much to the detriment of the youth and our unborn generations.
