Ken Agyapong Denies Mahama: He Ain't My Friend That Will Never Happen

One of the most beautiful qualities of true friendship is to understand and to be understood.

Quite naturally, there is a limit to how many people one could nobly live together with as friends. And that seems to be the case with Member of Parliament for Assin-Central, Kennedy Agyapong and Ibrahim Mahama, the younger brother of Ghana’s President, John Dramani Mahama.

The duo have had series of unpleasant confrontations and media battles for quite some time; most of them instigated by the NPP MP.

Perhaps to end the running battles and reconcile whatever differences existing between him and Ken Agyapong, the Chief Executive Officer of Engineers and Planners (E&P), told OKAY FM in a recent interview that “Ken is my friend and I call him sometimes”.

But the outspoken NPP MP rebuffed the gesture and denied being friends with Ibrahim Mahama on NEAT FM’s morning show dubbed Ghana Montie.

Never, it will never happen. It is not true that Ibrahim Mahama is my friend. I don’t even have his number. I have met him before…but we are not friends,” he said.

According to him though “Ibrahim Mahama has told some people he likes me because of my honesty," personally he (Agyapong) does not "have any problem with that.”
