The Member of Parliament for Assin-North, Mr Kennedy Agyapong believes bringing on board former President John Agyekum Kufour to mentor NPP’s campaign team ahead of the 2016 election is a ‘fantastic’ approach.

He noted that Ex-President Kufour’s leadership will bring some sanity and seriousness to the campaign that will yield the needed results in the 2016 polls.

Ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor has been named [yet to be official] to play an active role in the party’s Flagbearer, Nana Akufo Addo’s campaign team for the 2016 general elections.

According to the Deputy General Secretary of the NPP, Nana Obiri Boahene, former President Kufuor on whose achievement the NPP is expected to campaign during next year’s polls, will among other roles be the one to have the final say whenever there is disagreement on any matter during the campaign.

His comments comes after NPP’s National Council has appointed former Chairman of the elephant family, Peter Mac Manu, to front the party’s campaign team towards it bid for power in the 2016 elections.

Other team members includes, MP, Boakye Agyarko, leading member, Ken Ofori Atta, NPP’s Youth Organizer, Sammy Awuku and acting chief scribe, John Boadu - all national executives are also part of the campaign team.

Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show Ghana Montie Kennedy Agyapong expressed optimism about the individuals named in the campaign team – “Are all good people and they can work. They have the experience so I don’t have any problem at all”.
