Bawumia Rubbishes Mahamas Achievement (Video)

The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) running mate for the 2016 election, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has rubbished the supposed achievements of the Mahama-led administration. He described the seven-year achievements of President John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government as those “that are either on the drawing board or are artistic impressions.”

“The NDC has recently produced another green book to catalogue it’s so called achievements in terms of projects undertaken. The very thing our president John Dramani Mahama described in the past as an exercise in mediocrity, what is interesting is that, after seven years in power and after having over 200 million cedis at his disposal, many of the NDC projects in this catalogue are either on the drawing board or are artistic impressions,” he stated.

Dr. Bawumia added that with a relatively small amount, former president John Kufuor during his tenure was able to perform far better than the current government.

President Mahama last week touted the works done by his government since he took over the affairs of the state in 2009 and launched a green book in that regard.

The President highlighted projects and initiatives government had undertaken over the years in some sectors including education, health, water and sanitation, security, transportation and energy.

However, addressing NPP members at the party’s 15th Extraordinary National Delegates Conference in Sunyani, Dr. Bawumia urged Ghanaians to vote massively for the NPP in 2016 saying they have the capacity to turn things around for the better.
