The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has held a thanksgiving service after its Extra-Ordinary Delegates’ Congress at Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo region. 

The event held at the Sunyani Wesley Methodist Church was to thank God for a violent-free congress in spite of the internal wrangling in the party. Its flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo, running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, their wives, the party hierarchy joined the congregation in thanking God for talking them through a peaceful event.

The party also used the occasion to among other things outdoor its campaign team for the 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections.
