The Inter Allies coach says ‘discouraging’ conditions of his job could prompt a pre-mature retirement.
Inter Allies manager Herbert Addo has revealed he could be forced to call time on his coaching career.
The veteran is one of the most respected coaches in the local scene, following a stunning Ghana Premier League triumph with Aduana Stars in 2010.
“I can’t tell but I might be ending it after Inter Allies, there are lot of discouragements for coaches in this country,” Addo told Starr FM.
“I have been in so many sad moments that have made me felt like quitting but I feel I can still give a lot more because when I interact with some of my coaches, they learn a lot from me.
“One thing I don’t like is working and not being paid for the work. I have three groups who owe me a lot of money which could have helped me built mansions and ride in big cars but still at this age, I’m struggling.
“I don’t know whether they are prepared to pay me or not but before the end of this year I will take my decision.”
Addo was appointed Allies coach for a second stint in October following the departure of Paa Kwesi Fabin.
Before joining the Eleven Is To One, Addo was dismissed by Hearts of Oak in July following a run of poor results.
During his first stint with Allies, he led the Tema-based side to the 2014 Fa Cup final which they lost to Asante Kotoko.
