Ex-Prez Kufuor Calls For Unity In NPP

Former President John Agyekum Kuffour has called for unity and closing of ranks in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to ensure the party’s victory in the 2016 general elections.

He decried the infighting within the pay and called for reconciliation among the rank and file of the party, saying it is only when the party is united that it will look  beautiful and sexy to attract non-party members, including NDC supporters, to join the party for victory

Ex-President J.A. Kufuor made the call when he addressed party faithful at its 15th national delegates’ conference at the Sunyani Coronation Park in the Brong Ahafo Region. The conference was under the theme ‘Arise for Change 2016.’

President Kufuor stressed the need for unity among party faithful so that they can forge ahead with a common goal of unseating the NDC in the 2016 elections.

He said the party has the human capital to relieve Ghanaians of the hardship caused by the NDC, but if they fail to win power, all their good intentions, plans and policies would remain on the drawing board.

He urged party supporters to tolerate dissenting views and create an environment that will make everybody feel included.

According to the former President, it is only the NPP which has the DNA to empower the private sector to bring the needed economic growth to the country.

He stated that Ghanaians are suffering from bad governance, unemployment and poor economic growth, and are thus yearning for change like they did in 2000, stressing that it is only the NPP that can bring the needed positive change to Ghanaians.

He tasked party faithful to empower the flagbearer, his running mate and the parliamentary candidates throughout the country to deliver victory in 2016.
