John Boadu Advices Omane Boamah

Acting General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party(NPP), John Boadu has asked Communications Minister Edward Omane Boamah to draw the line at politicking and be reasonable in commenting on issues of public interest.

He said Omane Boamah is only being pushed around by his paymasters to defend the corruptible ways of the ruling NDC government.

A statement released and signed by Communications Minister Omane Boamah Monday entreated the NPP Flagbearer Nana Addo  to stop peddling lies against the Mahama -led administration and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to the statement, Mr Akufo-Addo accused government of spending US$10 million to print presidential diaries without any evidence, which turned out to be false among other claims.

However, in reaction to government’s statement Monday, the acting general secretary of the NPP said Omane Boamah should be careful in issuing lame and controversial statement to the public.

He said government’s communications Minister is gradually losing credibility as a Minister.

“Lets use our conscience, and behold truth in our politics. How can one defend such level of corruption- You buy a car at a cost of 100, 000 and brand it for 31,000. Omane Boamah should take stock of the embarrassment he’s caused himself and draw lessons from the previous blunders.

"I was thinking after his issues from the Talensi by-election he would have learnt great lessons on matters like this.He as a medical doctor should be careful on statements that lack substance.”
