I Shed Tears At Amenfi West - Sammy Awuku

National Organizer Sammy Awuku says he shed tears at Amenfi West in the by-election that was held in the constituency.

Sammy Awuku revealed this to host Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's Morning Show'Kokrokoo', saying he couldn't hold back his tears after experiencing the impoverished living conditions of the constituents.

He noted that government's misplaced priorities have deprived Amenfi West of the basic needs of the people.

He recounted poor roads, impure water, and poverty among other challenges facing the constituency and questioned the logic in the government's 3.6 million cedi rebranding of Metro Mass Transport buses.

He asked why government would spend such whopping sum of money on rebranding buses to the detriment of the residents at Amenfi West.

To him, the government is not setting her priorities right because "it appears some Ghanaians have been made second class citizens."

"I shed tears at Amenfi West. When you get to some communities, the level of poverty is beyond human comprehension. You cannot fathom it. You can offer someone GHC 10 but the person will stare at your face and insist to have the red note, meaning he/she wants GHC 1 rather; Future of hopelessness!” he stated.
