Dont Believe There Is No Money In Ghana As Prez Mahama Has Been Preaching

A leading member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Germany, Mr. Kwadwo Anim has urged Ghanaians not to believe the excuse of President John Dramani Mahama that the country is in financial crisis.

According to him, if President Mahama can pay for a budget of GH¢31,457.28 to brand each of the 116 buses, then he has been deceiving and lying to Ghanaians that the economy has reached its bone to cater for other demands of the citizenry.

Earlier last week, news went viral that amount of GHC3, 649, 004 Ghana oil funds have been spent on re-branding Metro Mass Rapid Transit buses.

Interestingly, a Cabinet Minister is reported to have justified the GH₵3.6million spent on re-branding the 116 public buses saying artistic work is generally expensive.

Many, especially the Minority New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Parliament and civil society have accused government of wanton dissipating of state funds.

But commenting on Rainbow Radio, Mr. Kwadwo Anim wondered why the NDC government could spent this huge money on rebranding at a point where it has become difficult for Ghanaians to eat properly and have enough money to go the hospital.

“A country where President Mahama has told his people there is no money and yet could spend this huge money on rebranding, then he lied to us that there is no money…it is even difficult for some people to go to hospital with Gh¢10 or even Gh¢2,” he chided.

“The Supreme Court Judge said it that this government exists to create, loot and share; this is family and friends affairs under President Mahama because the woman whom the contract was awarded to has always been integral part of the NDC campaign and so they decided to create, loot and share,” he jabbed.

He however described President Mahama as insensitive to the plight of Ghanaians but rather after his interest to milk the country dry; ascribing the President as incompetent who must be voted out in the 2016 election.

“Ghanaians should listen to us that this government is insensitive towards Ghana; their only mission is to steal and kill and that is what we are experiencing in this country. In fact we are very surprised that this is happening in this country,” he urged.

He therefore out of disappointment described President Mahama as a disgrace to Ghana; stressing he is selfish and only seeks the welfare of his family and friends and not that of Ghanaians.
