Korle Bu Row: 5 Executive Members To Face Disciplinary

Five executive members of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital Senior Staff Association (KOSSA) will face disciplinary action for a press conference they held about two weeks ago, Citi News understands.

The Association at the said conference accused the hospital Board and CEO of mismanaging the hospital’s resources leading to shortages.

The Management has subsequently denied all of the allegations.

However, information available to Citi News shows that all of the five executives have received letters, describing their attitude as a “gross insubordination to the Board of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.”

All five are expected to appear before the hospital’s disciplinary committee.

Members of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital Senior Staff Association had demanded the resignation of their CEO, Dr. Gilbert Buckle with immediate effect.

About ninety percent of the members voted at a general meeting to pass a vote of no confidence against Dr. Buckle.

They accused him of mismanaging the hospital’s internally generated funds and paying what they termed needless judgement debts while neglecting the welfare of staff of the hospital.
