Prez Mahama In Burkina Faso For Roch Marc Kabore Inauguration

His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama is in Burkina Faso for the inauguration of President-elect, Roch Marc Christian Kabore.

President Mahama will lead the delegation of other heads of states for the inauguration.

Marc Christian Kabore - a former Prime Minister of Burkina Faso was elected in November 2015 as part of transitional arrangements.

58-year old Christian Kabore won an election which was postponed to November because of a coup by the Presidential Guards.

President Mahama was accompanied to Ouagadougou by Former President Jerry John Rawlings and his wife, General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia and officials of the NDC.

Others are the newly elected leader of the Peoples National Convention (PNC) Dr. Edward Mahama and officials of the PNC.

The President will be expected in the country today with his entourage.
